A MAN smashed his ex-girlfriend's bedroom window by throwing his car keys at them, after she would not let him into her house, magistrates heard.

Anthony Bradley, aged 30, admitted a charge of criminal damage when he appeared before Worcester Magistrates Court yesterday.

Prosecuting, Mark Soper said Bradley, of Mersey Road, Newtown, Worcester, had gone to his former girlfriend's house just after midnight on Friday, December 6, and there had been an argument.

He said Bradley's former girlfriend would not let him in so he went to the rear of the house and tried to talk to her through an upstairs window.

"He became angry and threw his car keys at the window, causing it to break," said Mr Soper.

In mitigation, Barry Newton said Bradley had admitted his guilt at the first opportunity.

"My client threw the keys underarm at the window - it was reckless and not a case of him having thrown at brick at the window, for instance," he added.

Bradley was ordered to pay £60 compensation and court costs of £55.
