TOURISTS and thrill-seekers have flocked to a county farm to plot their way through an astonishing four-acre maze of the British Isles.

The 'Maize Maze', which reopened last Saturday at Top Barn Farm, in Holt Heath, attracted visitors last summer and has proved even more popular this time round, attracting hundreds of visitors.

The labyrinth consists of paths lined with maize, which is currently eight feet tall but will grow to 10 feet, in the shape of the UK.

The public is set the challenge of starting in Milford Haven, and then working their way through the capital cities to emerge at a model of Top Barn Farm, in Worcester.

Along the way clues have to be solved and two bridges are available to provide the perfect view of the countryside, while pipes through the maize allow people to talk to fellow travellers up to 50 metres away.

"It's been very busy and seems to have really gripped the imagination," said Mike Harper, the farm's shop manager.

"There is also a courtyard of games for children and I'm sure it will remain popular in the summer holidays."

The cereal was planted in May and the maze will remain open until Sunday, September 14.

n Entrance costs £3 for adults and £2 for children.
