NIONE Meakin is the newest recruit to join the Malvern Gazette & Ledbury Reporter's team.
Nione, 20, joins as a junior reporter direct from journalism training in Portsmouth, having gained experience on the Wilts and Glos Standard and Swindon Evening Advertiser.
Originally from Fairford in neighbouring Gloucestershire, Nione, pronounced Neon, is looking forward to living and working in the local area.
She said: "As a start, I shall be buying some sturdy walking boots!"
Other than writing, her interests include singing in a band and she is a huge fan of live music and festivals.
