he weekend of September 6/7 promises to be a notable one in the village, starting with the Garden & Nature Club's Annual Show at the Village Hall on the Saturday. It is not too soon for keen gardeners to be grooming those flowers, fruit and vegetables!
...then that same day at 8pm, also in the Village Hall, the Parish Council is planning a social evening, to 'revisit' the last month's successful Jubilee Festival weekend, when photographs taken at the various Festival events will be on show . Anyone with pictures taken over the Festival weekend is asked to contact Peter Vant on 01684 560265 so they can be scanned into a computer to be included in a continuous on-screen display. The display will also include the pictures of Old West Malvern first shown at the Memorabilia Exhibition .
...and Sunday September 7 will see the Annual Harvest Service in St James's Church with Archdeacon Joy Tetley.
The postponed Allotment Association Barbecue will take place on Sunday (July 27) at the allotments from 4pm. All allotment holders and their friend/families welcome: bring your own food and drink to share (barbecue grill available) - and pray for good weather.
