WORCESTER City lost 3-2 to Coventry City in their latest pre-season friendly at St George's Lane last night.
Strikes from ex-Aston Villa forward Julian Joachim, Tom Bates and new signing Graham Barrett sealed the victory with Darren Middleton (penalty) and Mark Owen replying for City.
Worcester gave a debut to new signing Leon Kelly and supporters also saw trialists Kevin Halliday and Chris Dawson in action.
Left-back Halliday is in with a chance of earning a contract, according to City's assistant manager Mick Tuohy. "He's done well and John Barton will have a look at him next week so the ball is very much in his court," said Tuohy.
"But if he keeps going in the same manner I wouldn't be surprised if he is offered something."
"Chris Dawson played for Leigh RMI last season and is actually a Seychelles international," added Tuohy. "I thought he showed some neat touches and we may look at him further."
