ALL eyes will be on new signing Leon Kelly when he makes his debut for Worcester City against Coventry City tonight.

The 25-year-old is set to be the star attraction at St George's Lane for the visit of the First Division Sky Blues (kick off 7.45pm).

Ex-Aston Villa favourite Julian Joachim will lead Coventry's attack with the Sky Blues expected to send a reasonably strong squad including new signing from Arsenal, Graham Barrett and Irish internationals Keith O'Neill and Barry Quinn.

Kelly is City's only summer signing to date but comes with a good reputation and an eye for goal as 21 strikes with relegated Ilkeston Town last year illustrated.

Assistant manager Mick Tuohy admitted they were delighted with the signing.

"Leon's the right age and has got the right background with a bit of Football League experience," he said.

"He wants to get back there and given two good years could do it with us."

Tuohy believes Kelly's stren-gths, particularly his running off the shoulder of the defence, and his pace could be a potent weapon for City.

"We missed that last year and one of Leon's assets is his pace," added Tuohy.

"He's also tough and has got a bit of the devil in him, can fight his own corner and is industrious. There are no flies on him."

Dan Jones (ankle), Adam Wilde (hamstring), Jon Holloway (groin) and John Snape (groin) are all carrying knocks but Tuohy, in charge with manager John Barton still on holiday, welcomes back Darren Middleton and Danny McDonnell from holiday.

Trialist Kevin Halliday will also be given another opportunity to shine for Worcester at left back.

Tuohy is looking forward to renewing his friendship with Coventry player/coach Gary McAllister, forged when Tuohy was an FA liaison officer for Scotland in Euro 96.

"I got to know him quite well and there are a few tales to tell from my time with Scotland," added Tuohy.

"We've had no indication on what kind of side Coventry are bringing, but they are down to their bare bones and haven't got the same sort of squad they've had in the last year or two so they could have some decent players coming."
