WORCESTER Rugby Club are banking on fan power to boost their players in Sunday's promotion showdown at Leeds (2.30).

The National One leaders have to win at second-placed Leeds to stay on course for the title and promotion to the Zurich Premiership and are hoping supporters will play their part in an historic win.

More than 1,500 supporters will be travelling to Headingley to spur on their heroes -- a number which will reach record proportions for a Worcester away following.

The club have already filled 12 standard and numerous commercial coaches plus a '100 Club' coach which totals more than 1,000 fans travelling just from Sixways.

In addition, a number of coaches and minibuses are running from local pubs and the club are expecting hundreds to travel by car.

Press officer Nicola Goodwin said the Sixways club were urging fans to "make as much noise as possible" in the biggest game of the season.

She said: "This is the largest travelling support that the club have ever generated for a single match and Worcester fans are promising to make their presence felt!

"The club have produced posters especially for the match and are asking fans to wave them and get behind the Worcester squad.

"The A3 sized posters are in the club colours with 'Worcester' on one side and 'Try' on the reverse. They will be available from the club reception for free."
