HUNDREDS of youngsters from across Wyre Forest took up their paintbrushes and pens to design a "rubbish" poster to adorn new recycling collection trucks.
Pupils were challenged to design an eye-catching picture to go on the side of the district council's new fleet which will be collecting recycled items from homes.
Overall winner was Bethany Holmes, of Stone First School, whose eye-catching design depicted a giant hand sifting items into a recycling lorry. Her success has won her school £500 worth of computer equipment.
Runners-up were Kyle Bednarz from Lea Street First School, and Charlotte Jones from Sutton Park First School. Both win £50 of high street shopping vouchers.
Competition judges were Shuttle/Times and News editor Clive Joyce and Councillor Keith Robertson, Wyre Forest District Council's portfolio holder for commercial services.
