STYLISH Stourport Swifts continued their impressive run of results with a resounding 4-0 Dr Martens Western Division victory over lowly Rocester.

Tim Langford's Swifts proved too strong for the Staffordshire visitors with the result never in doubt after they had cruised into a three-goal interval lead.

It took the home side just nine minutes to break the deadlock with Jan Mulders firing home from the penalty spot after Andy Wright had been fouled by Rocester defender Harvey Bussell.

Wright then doubled the lead on 15 minutes.

The former Rushall Olympic striker pounced to net his first league goal for Swifts after the visitors struggled to deal with a Richard Gardner corner.

When Gardner made it 3-0 12 minutes later, a splendid strike that saw him tucking the ball home following a neat exchange of passes with Simon Marsh, Swifts were home and dry.

Rocester did manage to hit the woodwork, Richard Owen's free-kick thumping against the crossbar, but the second half saw Swifts again in control.

Midfield pair Gardner and Ian Cottrill dominated the centre of the park and Swifts even had the luxury of missing a second penalty when a Dave Davies spot-kick was saved by John Ednerson.

Wily winger Alex Cowley completed the scoring two minutes from time to maintain Stourport's place in the top five on the back of four wins from their last five league games.
