WORCESTERSHIRE have asked the ECB to discuss with the International Cricket Councul the issue of late arrangement of international games.

The County's move follows a change to the original dates for their tour match against the West Indies this season. It will now be a three-day fixture played from June 2 to June 4.

The change has been forced due to late amendments to the scheduling of the West Indies v Pakistan tour programme.

New Road secretary Mike Vockins believes that the matter of late alterations needs to be thrashed out by ECB and the ICC.

He said: "It is a matter which needs serious and urgent attention otherwise last-minute changes to previously agreed fixture programmes are going to become more common and disruptive."

Vockins said that the re-arrangement of Worcestershire's match with the West Indies was "very frustrating."

He added: "The attractiveness of the West Indies team and the undoubted appeal of the opening tourist match will be a positive aid in our efforts to accommodate everyone in three days rather than four.

"We shall certainly work hard to achieve this but almost certainly we shall suffer a significant loss of income, and so we may well raise the quest of compensation with ICC."
