FORWARD Drewe Broughton has left no-one in any doubts over his intention to earn a £50,000 move to Harriers.

The on-loan Peterborough United player scored his second goal in as many games in the 2-2 home draw with Hull City.

And 22-year-old Broughton's displays so far suggest he may be the target-man Harriers have been crying out for.

It can be no coincidence that Jan Molby's side have suddenly started creating good chances after a barren spell which left them with no wins in 2001.

Broughton, who wore a bandage on his right wrist after falling awkwardly in training, said: "I know Jan Molby's said he sees me as a late developer and I agree.

"I love it here and Jan is the type of manger that can get all my potential out and push me on."

But the forward, who was involved in Peterborough's Division Three play-off campaign, felt he could have had a hat-trick at the weekend.

Broughton added: "We must have created 30 crosses, there were so many more chances and I expect to score more.

"On my home debuts for Dagenham and for Stevenage I scored two goals and I could have bettered that."

Broughton started off at Norwich and revealed he models himself on the kind of player Chris Sutton was while at Carrow Road.

And he clearly wants to be a permanent part of a new, young team that Molby appears to be building.

"Division Three is full of difficult places to go and physical teams but there is no reason why we cannot get the ball down and play them off the park.

"Despite my height, I've always been brought up to play with the ball on the floor."
