TOM Moody has revealed his long-term ambition to become coach of either England or his native Australia.

Moody, a World Cup winner with his country in 1999, is currently impressing in his role as director of cricket with Worcestershire. He has also vast experience of playing in England and Australia and captained both Worcestershire and Western Australia.

Moody is currently half-way through a five-year contract at New Road and in 2004 will take a testimonial after first linking up with the county in 1991.

But he eventually wants to test his skills on the bigger stage.

Moody said: "I've got a lot to finish at Worcestershire. We've come a long way over the last two and a half years and I still feel we've got further to go.

"I'd like to start developing players in the Academy so we start producing some home grown talent and I'd like the County to play in the First Division of both competitions.

"But international cricket is something I would like to look at eventually although the timing is going to be important and it is a huge commitment.

"Whether it was Australia or England, would make no difference to me.

"But I have got a huge advantage in that I have played in this country and Australia for many years and captained in both countries as well."
