I'VE never been bothered by George Cowley's correspondence until now. I assumed the publishing of his inane prattle was designed to placate and amuse those of us who don't have the capacity to consider relevant matters, or who simply couldn't care less about anything much outside of the "Big Brother" genre.

I'm getting slightly tired of it now, however, as I'm sure are many others.

His "I got up this morning and had a cup of tea" style is just boring and irrelevant. This man has nothing to say. He doesn't provoke or encourage debate, he just agrees or disagrees with the statements of others without offering his own tenet.

Isn't it time to call a halt to the daily "thoughts" of Mr Cowley and devote your valuable letters space to people who've got something interesting or apropos to say?

Give us a break, please.
