PIED PIPER: As a summer term project, Bredon Hancock's First School has put on a superb production of the Pied Piper of Hamelin. A large cast of cats, rats and villagers came from years three, four and five and a group of musicians came from years three and four, supported by Mrs Viv Ebbage on piano, and Megan Baynes who played the flute. Wonderful scenery was painted by Morag Potter, and Di Cotterell and Becky Goodhall were responsible for costumes and programmes. A retiring collection taken enabled the school to send a substantial donation to the Acorns Children's Hospice.

BIKE RIDE: A sponsored bike ride is being held for the Worcestershire and Dudley Historic Churches Trust, on Saturday, September 13. The idea is to plan a route in order to cycle to as many churches and chapels in the vicinity as possible. At each one a form will be signed.

Sponsorship forms and lists of venues can be obtained by phoning 01684 773067. The money raised will go half to Bredon Church and half to the Trust.

COFFEE MORNING: All proceeds of a coffee morning to be held at Iona, Main Road, Bredon, on Thursday, July 17, 10.30am until noon, will go to the RNLI. There will be an RNLI gift stall, as well as bring and buy, books, plants and a raffle.
