I was really quite amused at Mrs Jones very judgmental response to my letter (June 25).
She assumes a lot, quite wrongly. Firstly, my 20-minute mile is the first mile that I travel of my 10-mile journey to work.
Yes, surprise surprise! I acually do live in Astwood Bank Mrs Jones - and have done so for the last 28 years.
How do you suggest I get to Redditch? By a different route, via Alcester or Feckenham perhaps - I don't think so.
Also the traffic problems do exist outside the hours of 9am, 3pm and 5pm as many others who do get out of their houses outside these times will bear witness to.
The problems are not confined to weekdays either. Just to set the record straight Mrs Jones, I do actually use the local shops, frequently, and it may also surprise you to know I actually walk there.
