ONE can sympathise with John Phillpott's disappointment (Evening News, June 30) with Channel 4's option to go for the popular-celebrity programme such as Big Brother compared with what it broadcast when it started, but I expect he's noticed that another organ of the media - his own Evening News - loyally reports daily on who has the hots for whom as though this were news rather than entertainment?
