Dear Editor - In the Advertiser two weeks before the May elections, district councillors boasted that they had finally secured the open space off Primsland Way in Droitwich.
Funding for immediate work on ambitious plans to benefit the local community were announced.
Now weeks after we re-elected those councillors, we find it was a cruel electioneering hoax. Wychavon officials now claim to have looked at legal paperwork to find that they do not own the land. Cynical vote grabbing by politicians? Or 20 years crass incompetence by professional legal and planning officers? Someone at Wychavon should resign or be sacked.
