Dear Editor - May we, the Poppy Appeal committee of the Bromsgrove branch, through this letter, thank the people of Bromsgrove for their wonderful generosity. The final figure raised for the year ending May 31 is £9,061.04.
Also to be thanked are the people who collected for the appeal, both house-to-house and in the street on Poppy Day itself. They always do a marvellous job in what are, sometimes, awful conditions.
On behalf of the ex-service people who are eligible for help from the Royal British Legion, we thank both those who collect and those who give.
Anyone who has been in HM forces may ask for help from their nearest branch; they do not have to be members.
