AN award-winning youth hostel has been praised for its attention to detail and warm welcome.
Leominster Youth Hostel won a gold award at the Visit Heart of England Excellence in Tourism Awards for Best Value for Money Accommodation.
Judges said Leominster Youth Hostel's "enthusiasm and desire" to make guests feel welcome was clear all the way through their visit.
Judges also praised Hereford's Castle House Hotel, a silver award winner at the official tourist industry awards ceremony, for its "superb high quality luxury and comfort".
The Visit Heart of England Excellence in Tourism Awards are the regional heats of the national Safeway Excellence in England Awards for Tourism, with most regional winners going through to the national contest.
