A TELEGRAM at Holmwood on Wednesday evening contained the brief but sad announcement that Mrs Newton, wife of Canon Newton, vicar of St Stephen's, Redditch, passed quietly and peacefully away at Innistrynich, Argyllshire, at 4.30 on Wednesday afternoon.
Few particulars are yet at hand and few indeed will be sought. The one sad fact alone is all sufficing.
Mrs Newton was more than merely respected, she was beloved by everyone who knew her.
