A motorcycle with a 700cc engine believed to be the first of its capacity in the motorcycling world and capable of over 100mph has been produced and tested by the Enfield Cycle Co Ltd of Redditch and will represent Great Britain in the International Six Days Trial to be held in Austria later this year.

The model had been produced after two years research embarked on at the particular request of distributors and customers in the Dominions and Colonies.

"We have had inquiries from Australia, New Zealand and Africa for something bigger and with a better performance than the 650cc machine produced by other companies but not as big as the 1000cc model," an official told a reporter.
