James Gardiner, labourer, Feckenham, pleaded guilty to being drunk on the highway at Crabbs Cross on February 21 and admitted a previous conviction within 12 months.

Pc Timms said he saw defendant helplessly drunk being assisted by his wife and another man.

Previous convictions were recorded against defendant who was fined 10s and the costs or 14 days.

At the same time, he was warned that if not careful he would be placed on the blacklist.
