THE development of the Oakenshaw area of Redditch moved into top gear this week with the announcement of a huge £2.7 million building project.
Redditch Development Corporation is set to be awarded a contract to build a total of 205 houses on the estate.
The project is one of the largest developments so far on the Oakenshaw estate.
Work began there last year.
Work is expected to last about two years and will comprise mostly two and three- bedroom houses and bungalows.
