GOLF: Cleobury Mortimer's pro-am duo, Jon Jones and Gerry Redmond, achieved a top-six finish in the Midland final of the Lombard Trophy.
The pairing came sixth with a score off 66, which was six under-par, with amateur Redmond playing off a handicap of 18.
The winners of the event at Enville, near Stourbridge, last Friday were Little Aston's experienced club professional Brian Rimmer and amateur David Cox who is a 14-handicap.
They recorded 10 under-par to book a place in the final with 15 other regional winners at San Lorenzo in Portugal this September.
