PUPILS at a Worcester school were celebrating yesterday, after their commitment to sport received a national commendation.

Blessed Edward Oldcorne RC High School, in Timberdine Avenue, was awarded Sportsmark - recognition from Sport England of the quality of sport provision.

The award lasts for three years and Principal Sean Devlin was thrilled with the news.

"Sport is a key building block to a healthy adult life and it has given the school a real sense of achievement," he said.
