A RETAIL manager from Malvern who was arrested in an operation to smash an international paedophile ring has been released on police bail.

A spokesperson for the National High-Tech Crime Unit said forensic examinations were now being carried out on the 36-year-old's computer.

Police from the London-based unit will decide whether or not to charge the man when their investigations are complete.

The man, whose name has not been released, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the distribution and making of indecent images of children.

A total of 20 people were arrested in five countries, including a 51-year-old man from Northamptonshire, who was also released on bail pending further investigations.

In January, six people from the Worcester area were named on a list of paedophiles who accessed a child pornography website in the United States.
