THE Birdseye Sports Evesham Sunday League season reached its conclusion last weekend with several issues undecided until the final matches were completed.

Offenham Rovers clinched promotion to Division One for the first time in the club's history at the expense of Red Horse.

Rovers needed victory against the Horsemen and goals from Simon Brain and Stuart Sollis gave the home side a deserved win and the promotion they had narrowly missed out on in recent seasons.

Champions Ambassador signed off with a win at Lower Moor, were youngster Matt Lynes scored twice for the winners.

Upton Snodsbury became the first team for eight years to complete a league and cup double, victory over the Bear clinching the Division One title on goal difference from Willersey. Annis (2), McLean and McManus scored Upton's goals.

It proved a sorry Sunday for Willersey who became the third league team to lose a County Cup final this season.

Facing Porkys in the GFA Sunday Premier Cup, Andy Beale gave the Cotswolds side the lead only for their Cheltenham opponents to turn on the style to lift the cup for a fifth successive season.

Mountinneers put two cup final defeats behind them to grab runners-up and promotion from Division Three in fine style as they hit ten past Queens. Rowlands (3), Reid (2), and Stanton (2) were among their scorers.

The win denied Bluck Cup winners Broadway United Reserves automatic promotion despite a fine win over champions Defford and Besford. Alcock (2), Roulstone, Annis and Craig netted for United.

Mickleton Rangers lifted the Evesham Mechanical Services Subsidiary Cup with a comfortable win over Salford Rovers in a disappointing final.

Rangers were well in command by the break with goals from Helbert, Lewis and an own goal. Further strikes from White and Titmus emphasised the gulf between the two teams before Green netted a consolation.
