TABLE TENNIS: Steve Dorrell won three events at the Kidderminster Table Tennis League's 61st championship finals night and trophy awards at Kidderminster Harriers Social Club.

Guest of honour was Bernard Jackson who has been instrumental in introducing many young players to the sport.

Dorrell, runner-up for the past three years, took the veterans' over-40s final with a 21-15, 21-14 win over Paul Garner who had beaten him the previous season.

In the open doubles, Dorrell and Leigh Hipkins triumphed over holders Garner and Steve Hammond 21-9, 22-20.

Dorrell completed his hat-trick in the veterans doubles where he partnered Dave Bennett to a 21-18, 21-12 victory over Gary Jones and Kingsley Parker.
