WORCESTER badminton star Simon Archer jetted out from Birmingham today to compete in next week's Korean Open.
He will be taking part in the mixed doubles along with Kirsteen McEwan.
Their first taste of action will be on Wednesday.
For Archer it will be a major test of his fitness following an injury to the back of his right knee which he sustained last November. Since then he has performed in the National and All-England Championships in February when he accepted he was not fully match fit.
Archer, who has played together with his partner on a couple of occasions in the past, said: "I'm not entirely on top of my game but the idea is to go out there and get some good matchplay."
