DAVID and Jane Storer, who have run the post office at Aston Somerville for the past 15 years, are leaving the village.
As well as losing a post office, the village is also losing a couple who have contributed much to their community.
Mr and Mrs Storer moved to Aston Somerville 32 years ago. Mr Storer, with Janet Harvey, ran the youth club for five years and Jane was a founder member and a former secretary of the WI.
Mr Storer served on the village hall committee, where he was chairman for several years, has been a member of the parish council for 30 years, a churchwarden and, until last year, treasurer of the bowling club.
"We have made a lot friends here over the years and are sorry in many ways to be leaving," Mr Storer said.
Chairman of the Hinton-on-the-Green and Aston Somerville Parish Council Tony Patterson said: "We would like to thank them for their contribution to our village life and wish them every success in the future."
