CHRIS Garrard is winning his fitness battle to face Rotherham next weekend.
The winger, who missed Wor-cester Rugby Club's 55-36 win at Wakefield on Saturday with a groin injury, has responded to treatment and is now expected to make the April 12 showdown.
Garrard enjoyed mixed fortunes back in November when Worcester last played Rother-ham. The Australian scored the opening try at Millmoor before a high tackle saw him sent off in the 36-13 defeat. Despite a persistent groin problem in recent weeks, he is expected to be fit for the Sixways clash.
Werner Swanepoel (groin) and Christian Evans (back) have both improved this week and will take part in full training next week, while Neil Lyman's calf problem is also clearing up.
"We are in good shape for the match," said Worcester's director of rugby John Brain. "This week has been very useful for us to get people right."
