FRAN Richman (Evening News, Tuesday, March 25) opens and ends with criticism of the Church, asking "where is the boldness of the church?" when writing on the horrors of Saddam Hussein.

Perhaps she hasn't read quality national papers, for many clergy, from the Archbishop of Canterbury down have spoken "boldly" against the war. The Bishop of Worcester made his protest march.

Her blue-eyed boy, Blair, as everyone knows full well, has made numerous excuses for attacking Iraq.

He's continually referring to Saddam Hussein as an "evil" man. We have to be careful when we say someone is "evil" which conveys something is bad.

For Blair himself has caused a great deal of pain, unhappiness and misery. Due to Blair's actions, a number of young British servicemen now lie dead - causing much pain, unhappiness and misery to their families. This could have been avoided.

Britain's participation in this war was decided by one man, who totally ignored, as is his pattern, the British people.
