NEW boy Wes Morgan is set to make his debut for Kidderminster Harriers in tomorrow's Nationwide League Division Three clash against fellow promotion-hopefuls Scunthorpe United at Aggborough (3pm).
The 19-year-old centre-back has been snapped up from Nottingham Forest on an initial one month's loan.
Aggborough manager Ian Britton hopes the powerful six-footer will help Harriers combat their vulnerability against the more direct sides who tend to out-muscle them.
Morgan also arrives in the wake of ninth-placed Harriers' bitterly disappointing 3-0 defeat at Boston United last Saturday which led to Britton's battlers nose-diving out of the play-off zone.
As with eighth-in-the-table Scunthorpe, goal difference is all that keeps them out of a spot in the top seven play-off positions, with many of the leading sides tightly bunched.
The Boston setback, however, has not diminished Britton's belief that Harriers can secure at least a play-off place.
He said: "I can't see any reason why we can't do it. We have got 14 games to go and it's become a mini-season.
"We've all been jockeying for position and now the real race starts."
Harriers, who are just four points off an automatic promotion slot, could have on-loan defender Kenny Coleman on the substitutes' bench tomorrow.
He has not played since January 28 because of a groin injury, but is responding to treatment.
Kidderminster's hopes of having Scott Stamps back in action, however, look to have been dashed.
The experienced defender underwent a groin operation in December but has suffered a setback to his rehabilitation.
He had been due to have stepped up his training this week but has reported a painful reaction and no new date has been pencilled in for his return.
Midfielder Dean Bennett will also be missing as he faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines following the hamstring injury he picked up in the defeat at Boston.
The former Bromsgrove Rovers campaigner could be out for up to a month.
Scunthorpe, meanwhile, will be hoping to secure their first win -- and goal -- in a league match at Aggborough.
Their two previous attempts have ended in a 0-0 draw and a 1-0 defeat.
Harriers drew 1-1 against The Iron at Glanford Park back in September after midfielder Sam Shilton had given Britton's men an interval lead.
FORMCAST: Harriers to get back on the victory trail with a 2-1 win.
