Blackheath (0) 0, Fairfield Villa (0) 2
FAIRFIELD kept their championship hopes alive with this victory.
Villa did the early pressing and were unlucky not to lead at the break with a post denying Phil Upton.
Two minutes into the second half, Villa took a deserved lead when a Wayne Davies shot was parried by keeper Simon Summers and Richard Whitlock was on hand to force the ball in.
Villa had further chances but also had to defend stoutly until the clinching goal five from the end when Leon Broadhurst sent Roy Peters clearto score.
A minute later R Peters came close to adding another after rounding the keeper but a defender was on hand to clear.
