WOODRUSH could still hold the fate of arch rivals Redditch in their hands when they visit third from bottom Bromyard on the last day of the season.

The Old Icknield Street side saw off Cleobury Mortimer 26-10 at the weekend to secure a fifth place finish in Powergen North Midlands One after relegation last season.

And with anything from two to four sides being relegated at the end of the season, the match against a Bromyard side duelling with Redditch for the third and fourth from bottom positions could decide whether the Kingfishers drop into Division Two.

The form is not good for Redditch after Woodrush lost twice to a Stourport side battling with Redditch at the wrong end of the table for most of the season.

But, despite knowing the result will make no difference to their final placing, injured Woodrush captain Paul Moore, promised a strong line-up in his side's last fixture.

Woodrush are set to visit neighbours Alcester in a friendly on Saturday (ko 3pm).
