THIS weekend promises to be the most exciting so far in Worcester Norton's women's first team squad's successful season.

Saturday could be the defining game in the race for leadership of the Midland Premier League as the leaders Worcester take on second place Belper at Nunnery Wood (3pm.) in the last league game before the Christmas break.

Worcester lead Belper by two points with Charnwood four points in arrears. Belper, however, are the only team to have beaten Worcester this season (2-1).

Having reached the fourth round of the EHA Cup for the first time in their history with their sensational victory over National League Deeside Ram-blers, Worcester will be making every effort to go even further when the visitors to Nunnery Wood on Sunday (1.30pm) are West Premier outfit Exeter. Worcester expect to be at full strength.

Squad: Fiona Nash, Hannah Bourne, Sadie Lapper, Becky Handy, Sophie Wood, Charlene Mason, Tina Evans, Elaine Shepperd, Kate Fletcher, Jo Walker, Kate Draper, Becky Adams, Amanda Smith, Jackie Russell.

On Saturday (Nunnery Wood 4.30pm) immediately after the first team's Premier League fixture, Worcester seconds will take on the thirds in a Worcestershire Division One encounter.

Both teams had excellent wins last week, with the thirds getting their first points in the league and a much needed boost to their morale.

The seconds will be confident of securing three more points in their title bid as they beat their colleagues 4-0 in the opening match of the season.

Worcester fourths are without a game as they rest on the laurels of their last two consecutive wins to take them to 10 points in Worcestershire Division Three.
