LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY: Coalbrookdale and the Ironbridge Gorge was the subject of the most recent meeting of the Local History Society, the speaker, Brian Draper.
Brian Draper's enthusiasm for the area which formed the cradle of our industrial society was evident throughout his beautifully illustrated talk during which he explained the development of the area during the industrial revolution and subsequently.
The next meeting on Wednesday, April 9, will be entitled Recent Excavations in Alcester and the speaker will be Mr P Thompson.
Meetings are held at the Greig Hall and begin at 8pm, when all are welcome.
