WORCESTERSHIRE will again be without Vikram Solanki for their Frizzell Championship Division Two match against Northamptonshire which opens at Northampton tomorrow.

He damaged a finger during the County's victory over Oxford UCCE in The Parks and is now likely make his comeback in next Monday's home Benson and Hedges Cup group match with Gloucestershire.

His absence means that Worcestershire are set to name the same side which beat Gloucestershire yesterday.

New Road Director of Cricket Tom Moody is urging his players to carry on where they left off against Gloucestershire.

He said: "It's one of those situations where you can't take any team lightly. There isn't any team that looks particularly weak in the second division.

"Everyone is gunning for the first division because it's a big prize.

"Every game is crucial to us, so we are just hoping and praying that the weather is going to be as good as it has been over the last four days and that we manage to get a full game in.

"The wickets at Northampton are good and they have had plenty of preparation. Our guys have also shown some early season form with the bat so they will be looking forward to it.

"Gareth Batty got a few overs in against Gloucestershire and bowled particularly well which is good because it can turn at Northampton."

Worcs: Weston, Singh, Hick, Smith, Peters, Leatherdale, Batty, Bichel, Rhodes, Kabir Ali, Sheriyar.
