KIDDERMINSTER Harriers will have striker Ian Foster available for tomorrow's Nationwide League Division Three clash against Rushden & Diamonds at Nene Park (3pm).

The former Hereford United campaigner has missed Harriers' opening two matches because of a suspension carried over from last season when he was sent off at Bristol Rovers.

Foster was Kidderminster's leading scorer last term with ten goals followed by nine from Drewe Broughton, who has missed golden opportunities to be a match-winner in his side's opening two games.

In last Saturday's 1-1 against Lincoln City at Aggborough he fluffed a late penalty and then in Tuesday's 0-0 deadlock at Bournemouth he spurned a chance in stoppage time.

Harriers manager Ian Britton has one or two injuries problems to check on before finalising his side.

Among them is skipper Sean Flynn who missed the Bournemouth clash because of a freak accident.

He suffered facial injuries after falling down the stairs at his Bromsgrove home when he tripped over a child's toy.

The midfielder needed stitches but is expected to return to the line-up to face Kidderminster's former Nationwide Conference rivals who have launched their season with a 2-2 draw at Swansea and a 3-0 victory over Torquay.

Britton, meanwhile, is expecting a tough test against Rushden who they 2-0 beat in the corresponding fixture last season when Richie Appleby and Bo Henriksen were on the scoresheet.

He said: "Rushden have started well but if we show the same character and commitment we have done then I don't see why we can't get a result."

Britton is buoyed by the fact that with a little more accuracy from Broughton Harriers could well have picked up maximum points from their first two matches.

He said: "You look back and we could have won both our games so far. It is a good start anyway. We were simply poor in the first half against Lincoln which I think was nerves to begin with and we played into their hands.

"It was good at Bournemouth that we kept our shape, everybody did their job and worked tremendously hard.

"I've always said if you're going to do anything in this league, you have to work very hard. And if you've got good talented players which we have you might be able to do something with them."

Rushden have former Harriers defender Marcus Bignot in their ranks, but he is doubtful with a knee injury.
