OLD HALESONIANS 0 WORCESTER NORTON 9

WORCESTER went into this DTZ Midlands League Division One game still unbeaten, but with three draws and one win they needed victory to make up their four point deficit from the league leaders.

With the squad at full strength and looking confident they got the best possible start when after only three minutes Alex Kotlarzewski scored with a superb drag flick from Worcester's first penalty corner of the day.

The scoring continued at regular intervals and the home side were four up at half time with another goal from Kotlarzewski, a fine near post strike, one from Neil Davids and a brilliant reverse stick shot that rocketed into the top corner from Chris Adams.

The visitors could have done better, however, with James Cosh, Dave Steer and Neil Davids all squandering good opportunities.

After the break, and with minor tactical adjustments by new coach Ian Ewers, Worcester were completely dominant and continued to score almost at will.

A superbly executed penalty corner saw Davids score his second, Marvin Bam also notched two and Kotlarzewski scored another two to take his personal tally to four.

Worcester entertain Sikh Union on Saturday, 1.30pm push back at Nunnery Wood Sports Centre.
