WORCESTER Wolves hope to boost hopes of a top four finish in the National Basketball League Division One when they travel to North-West London today.

Wolves are currently fifth in the table following last week's convincing win over Black Country -- one place and two points ahead of today's opponents.

With the top four guaranteed a home tie in the end-of-season play-offs, player-coach Rick Solvason believes the side are running into form at the right time.

He said: "The top four is what we have targeted all along. We have seen every team in the league now, and when we play as well as we can, we know we can definitely get a top four spot.

"It is keeping that form going all the time, and especially when we are on the road."

Wolves have already beaten North-West London at home but Solvason says they will be tricky opponents in today's game at Willesden (4pm). Solvason added: "We beat them 104-90 but it was very close up until near the end when we got some free throws.

"They are one of the hottest teams in the league at the moment. They didn't start the season very well but they have come up with three or four straight wins and beat Bath away so they will have plenty of confidence.

"But we have won three out of our last four and the one game we didn't win against Derbyshire we played very well for most of the game.

"The guys will be feeling pretty confident and they are up for the game, coming off the back of a win and a good practice the other night."

Wolves have only won once on their travels in the league compared to five at home. Solvason said: "We have to go down there and try and start winning games on the road to put some distance between us and the chasing pack."

Victory for Wolves would also be a tonic to prepare them for a tough home clash with leaders Derbyshire at University College Worcester next Saturday.
