THE Manor Park hosted Billy Clifford Memorial tournament was won by Allan Homfray who defeated last year's winner Guy Rutter 3-0 in an entertaining final.
This was an excellent game with the score in each game being very close. Allan just managed to win the third game before running out of steam to his younger opponent.
The plate final saw a very close game between Adam Oakley and Dale Wilde with three games going to 15-14, including the fifth game in which Adam Oakley managed to win the final point of the match.
The club has raised £125 for the RNLI appeal who kindly donated the trophies to the club. Will any player who has not yet paid their entrance fee of £2 please pay this as soon as possible.
Manor Park juniors played Evesham Girls on Saturday and maintained their unbeaten record in the Worcestershire Junior Squash League.
All players had 3-0 victories over their opponents and are well on their way to winning the league.
Manor Park players were Adam Oakley, Robbie Tyler, Jonathan Lewis, Andrew Crawshaw and Alex Crawshaw.
