A PLEA by the authorities in Droitwich that the Spa should get its own full-time ambulance fell on deaf ears. It was said it was not necessary as there had only been 11 accidents in the past six months and 18 emergencies requiring an ambulance. Presently one was sent from Worcester and took 15 minutes to arrive.

POSTMAN Henry Workman, known to all as "Jack" since the day he started work with the Post Office in 1901, retired from his daily task of delivering mail to the Bentley area.

UP and coming stars on the books of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club were to help struggling Bromsgrove Rovers. Several players had left the Victoria Ground leaving several gaps to fill. The Wolves had kindly offered to loan some of their youngsters, who would not normally get a game, to help out at Bromsgrove.
