NEW Olympic dropped vital points in the Advertiser/Messenger Football League division one title race despite coming from behind to draw 2-2 at Sporting Harborne.

Gareth Messe was the hero with his second brace is as many weeks but the point leaves Olympic two clear of Alvechurch Darts, who have a game in hand.

In other games, Lee Mcquillan ended his barren spell in front of goal to clinch a 1-0 away win for Woodbourne Sports over Crabmill.

Turks Head Olympico's division two title hopes went up in smoke as they crashed 5-1 at home to inconsistent Southside United. League leaders Rovers Sunday Reserves won 3-1 at Sportsman United and are now only need for points for the championship.

In division three, Richard Skan's five goals helped Red Lion Hearts beat Crown Inn 6-0.

Crown are now joint second after Stourport Town clinched an unconvincing 2-0 win over Chequers and Cofton snatched a 2-1 win at Greyhound.
