AN elderly Greenlands couple have been unable to get upstairs for several days after their stairlift broke down.
Eric and Phyliss Lewis, of Greenlands Avenue, have been left stranded since Friday night but have repeatedly been told by Redditch Council officials it will be fixed.
Their daughter Lesley Court has had to visit her parents every day since the lift broke to collect clothes for them from upstairs.
Mrs Court said she had contacted Redditch Council several times and each time, she was told the necessary part to fix the stair lift was on order.
A council spokesman was unavailable for comment at the time of going to press.
