EUROPE'S largest shoe retailer has made a £500,000 investment in Redditch with the promise of 12 new jobs.
Shoe giant Deichmann Shoes will be opening a 3,500sq ft superstore in the Kingfisher Centre - the first of its stores in the country to bear the company's new name, 'Shoe Network'.
It will open to shoppers on Saturday, March 1, occupying 13 Walford Walk.
The store will sit alongside the new Debenhams department store, further enhancing the development of the town centre.
In addition to a network of 1,400 stores in Europe, the retailer now has 14 stores across the UK.
Towns with other stores in the Midlands include Perry Barr and Walsall.
