ARROW Vale Community High School students who completed the Youth Sport Trust Millennium Volunteers programme were honoured at an awards ceremony last week.
James Dawes, Charlotte Lees, Kathryn Butler and Warren Garvey attended the ceremony at Aston Villa Football Club, Birmingham.
The Youth Sport Trust MV programme is aimed at 16 to 19 year-olds in full-time education.
The students commit to 100-200 hours of sports-based voluntary work, which includes planning and staging sport or dance festivals for local primary schools.
Millennium Volunteers is the Government's flagship programme, funded by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES), and was established to encourage and support young people to become active volunteers.
Aston Villa FC donated tickets to each student as a celebratory gift of their achievement.
