TWO sisters were seriously hurt in a crash on The Slough near Studley on Friday morning.

The sisters, aged 19 and 16, were in a Morris Minor when it was in collision with a Vauxhall Zafira at about 8.50am.

The 19-year-old driver, from Redditch, was taken to the Alexandra Hospital and later transferred to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with a broken pelvis and internal injuries.

Her sister also suffered broken bones and internal injuries and was taken to the Alex.

Police said their condition was stable.

Three other girls, aged between 15 and 18, in the back of the Minor were not hurt.

A 39-year-old woman and five brothers and sisters aged between four and nine in the Zafira also escaped injury.

Both cars were travelling from Redditch towards Studley when the crash happened outside the Field View Residential Home.
