Tenbury 71 pts Warley 0

TENBURY ran in 12 tries to totally outplay visiting Warley and record their best North Midlands Two victory of the season, with centres Richard Wozencroft and Darren Kite each bagging a hat-trick of touchdowns.

There was no indication of the glut of tries to come as Warley defended well for the first quarter and coped well with several promising Tenbury sorties.

The breakthrough came when full-back Andy Yeomans joined the line and took advantage of an overlap to cross for an unconverted try.

Tenbury stepped up the pace and ran Warley ragged with a series of excellent passages of play which saw fly-half Roger Farr, and centres Wozencroft and Kite race over for further tries before the break, winger Dave Edwards adding one conversion.

It was much the same after the interval as Tenbury stretched the Warley defence with sustained combined play from backs and forwards. The visitors tired and as tackles were missed and the covering became ragged Tenbury ran in eight tries.

Wozencroft and Kite completed hat-tricks, winger Tom Albert grabbed a brace, Yeomans crossed for his second try, and Edwards also touch-ed down. Yeomans took over the kicking duties and helped himself to three conversions and a penalty.
