Cleobury Mortimer 22 pts Veseyans 13

CLEOBURY twice came from behind to claim a notable victory over their high flying North Midlands One visitors.

Veseyans kicked a penalty to edge into an early lead, and then took advantage to land a second penalty when scrum-half Willie Bache was sin-binned for retaliation.

Bache returned and responded with a superb blind-side break for a try which Colin Smith converted to give Cleobury the interval lead.

Flanker Paul Hulland extended Cleobury's lead with an unconverted try from a line-out drive, but Veseyans regained the lead when they intercepted and sprinted 70 metres for a converted try under the posts.

Smith landed a penalty to put Cleobury back in front, and they sealed victory when Bache made another excellent break to put winger James Allen over for a corner try, Smith converting
